Compare candidates in Decide

💡 Why should I learn this? Like many other decisions in your business, hiring decisions should be driven by data. Hireguide’s Decide page is where you can find candidate evaluations and use that data to inform your hiring decision. Look at one candidate in detail or compare candidates to determine who is the best fit for your role. Use Decide to collaborate with your hiring team, anchor debrief conversations in evidence, and make data-driven hiring decisions.

Compare candidates with the Decide dashboard

Once you conduct an interview, Hireguide unlocks the ‘Decide’ feature which allows you to review interviewer feedback and compare candidates’ scorecards. 

  • Click Decide in the top right corner of your position page to access interviewer feedback and scorecards

The main Decide screen presents each candidate as a row in a table. 

In the three columns on the far right, you’ll see three different scores. These data represent the feedback for a particular candidate aggregated across interviewers. Reference this high-level candidate summary to inform your discussions and decisions as you move candidates through the interview process. 

View all feedback for one candidate

In addition to the high-level feedback presented in the table, you can view the evaluations for each individual candidate in greater detail.

Hover over a particular candidate’s row, and a watermelon coloured arrow will appear on the far right. Click the arrow to access a more detailed view of the evaluations for a particular candidate

On this page, you can review the scores for each skill aggregated across rounds and interviewers.

To filter the scores by interviewer:

  • Select or deselect the checkbox beside each interviewer’s name in the right panel on the screen. If multiple interviewers are selected, the feedback you are seeing is aggregated. 

To filter the scores by round:

  • Select the desired round from the tabs across the top to view the scores in one round, or select Overall to view the feedback aggregate across rounds. 

Record your hiring decisions

After reviewing a candidate’s scores, you can record your decision on whether to move forward with the candidate in their individual Decide page. 

At the top of the screen, underneath the candidate’s name, 

  • Click the dropdown menu containing the different status options
  • Select the appropriate status for the candidate

When you go back to the main Decide page, the candidate’s status will be updated.
