Create positions and navigate the position page

💡 Why should I learn this? Each requisition in Hireguide is stored as a position, and each position receives its own dedicated page. The position page helps you manage your interviews which includes things like creating your interview guide, add candidates to interviews, and setting up interview recordings.

Learn by watching this video or reading the instructions below.

Create a position

To create a new position in Hireguide, start by accessing the main Positions page from the Navigation Panel on the left side of your screen.

  • Click Add a Position and type in the role you are interviewing for
  • Click Next

This newly created position page is where you’ll manage all activities and resources related to this position.

Product Tip

🪄 If you have an ATS integration, the jobs that will appear when you are typing in your position will have job IDs listed beside the job title. Select the appropriate job ID for the position so Hireguide can sync your interview data with your ATS.

Add interview rounds to a position

After creating a position, we suggest you create rounds in Hireguide. An interview round consists of interviews that fall within a specific stage and follow a specific question guide (e.g., Screening Interview, Skills Interview, Culture Interview). Choose your desired number of interview rounds based on your existing interview process, or follow the suggestions for designing rounds in Smart Guide.

To create an interview round,

  • Click + Add Interview Round on the right hand side of your screen
  • Name your interview round (e.g., Skills, Culture, etc.)

Repeat the above until all rounds have been added

Add the hiring team to a position

Best Practice Tip

🤓 Involve multiple interviewers in your hiring process. Hireguide allows you to invite all of your interviewers and collaborators directly in a specific position.

A separate Help Center article is dedicated to this topic. Learn how to add the hiring team to a position in the article linked here.

Hireguide allows you to link relevant job materials to a position to store all information in one centralized place. These materials are stored in the position details section:

  • Click the View and Edit Details text that appears under the job title in the position page
  • Explore the menu and add resources if desired (e.g., job description, job posting)
