What is Smart Guide?
Smart Guide is a progress tool that helps you benefit the most from Hireguide's features. Every position has its own Smart Guide score, and each action you take in a position will earn you a point. There are 8 steps in total, so a perfect Smart Guide score for a position is 8/8.
Each step in Smart Guide corresponds to a suggested action that follows a best practice from interview science. Following the steps in Smart Guide will help you make fairer and more accurate hiring decisions.
How do I use Smart Guide?
To get started, open a desired position in your workspace. In the bottom right corner of the screen, you’ll see a black circle showing ‘X/8 complete.’
- Click the black circle to expand Smart Guide and view all of the steps shown in individual cards
- Click a card to learn more about a particular step (e.g., why is this step important?)
Once your ready to complete a step, close the Smart Guide modal and take the appropriate action in your position. When the first action is completed, you’ll see your Smart Guide score progress from a 0/8 to a 1/8.
Continue following the steps in Smart Guide as you plan, facilitate, and score interviews in a particular position. Once all steps are completed, your position will have a perfect 8/8 Smart Guide score.
Product Tip
🪄 As you scroll down through the steps in Smart Guide, you’ll notice steps at the later stages are locked. These steps require you to complete certain actions first before you can complete them. For example, you can’t ‘Score candidates’ until you complete an interview. Once an interview is complete, that step will be unlocked and you will be able to take action.
